Lydia K Matteson

 

Lydia K. Matteson of Providence, RI died Saturday at home.  A lifelong Providence resident, she was a daughter of the late Kent F. and Mary-Elizabeth Matteson.  Lydia was a member of the Players for 50 years. 

 

She was the office manager there and also stage managed and produced countless plays.  She was a graduate of Hinckley School in Maine and Endicott College in Beverly, MA.  She leaves 3 sisters: Bliss Matteson of Arlington, MA, Elizabeth Matteson of Cherry Hill, NJ and Charlotte Matteson of Charlestown, RI.  A celebration of her life will be Saturday  January 11 at 1pm at The Players on Benefit St. in Providence. Donations in her memory may be made to the Players, 400 Benefit St., Providence, RI , 02903 or to the American Heart Association.
