Caught in Bed

I moved from Averill to Remington and the Newcombs halfway through the year with Adrienne. We had a really good bunch of blossoming females. Linda Horsey would get homesick, or just need someone, and used to tiptoe down the hall and crawl into bed with me so I could lightly scratch her arm.

One night, Judy Newcomb went upstairs to check on us and found Linda missing. Lights were turned on, feet pattered around the upstairs and Judy opened my door. Well, you never saw anyone jump out of bed as fast as Linda when Judy told her, in no uncertain words, that she belonged in her OWN bed!

Of course, nothing was going on, but Judy had a quiet " talk" with me. Jeez....I didn't know there was anything wrong but was set very straight on what appearances meant. There was a talk that I never forgot. To this day
